Pet Friendly Rooms Clean & Comfortable Walkable to Shops Affordable Comfort Friendly Staff

“Being displaced from the power outages, I was looking for a clean place that wasn’t overpriced to stay warm. I found this lodge and I’m so glad I did! They have well designed, pet friendly rooms. The owners are welcoming and very friendly. It was clean, comfortable, and affordable. On a side note, my room had a double blade ceiling fan that my cat was terrified of, I presume because it looks like a giant eagle. That was rather comical. I’ll book here again, hopefully just for fun rather than displacement!”

“This is a perfect location with recently updated, modern rooms. I love the views of the historic limestone buildings and being in walking distance to everything downtown from the swimming pool to the cafes. The rainfall showers in the bathroom and all new fixtures and amenities make this place incredibly comfortable and relaxing. If you’re a tourist looking for a place to stay, stay here! You’ll be greeted by the friendliest staff and the cutest chocolate lab.”

“This is an excellent 2 star hotel. For the price, the rooms and service are amazing. Very friendly staff, thoughtful layout. We will be back. The mattresses are very firm, if that's a factor for you.”

“We had such a great stay at Springs Lodge and Cafe—it was the perfect place for our trip to Hot Springs, SD! The location couldn’t have been better, with the hot springs just a short distance away, making everything super convenient. The rooms were very clean, and the mattress was incredibly comfortable, which made it easy to relax after a long day. One of my favorite parts was having the café right on the same lot—you even get 15% off for staying at the lodge, which was such a nice bonus! What really stood out, though, was the amazing customer service. Everyone was so kind, welcoming, and genuinely friendly—it made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Another huge plus is that they’re pet-friendly, which made traveling so much easier and more enjoyable. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!”

“This place is flipping adorable. Super close walkable distance from moccasin springs and a pretty walk across the creek to all the restaurants. The staff is family operated and loves dogs . They were so friendly and helpful. I felt welcomed and right at home. Very tidy and cozy lodge decor. 10 ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐”

“I loved my stay with Phil and Vicky and there dog Miles Davis at Spring Lodge and Cafe. Phil was exceptionally accommodating and his wife runs the cafe and even delivered my meal to my room one evening when I was super beat from a long day of touring the area. The room had everything one would want, very clean with a super comfortable bed and plenty of pillows. The TV was large and had a multitude of channel choices. The Internet worked flawlessly. A small desk to work from as well and a large chair to lounge in if you so desired. The cafe had great food and one of the best breakfast burritos I have had. I felt like I was staying with family, and they were exceptionally gracious and made my stay a wonderful experience. I would highly recommended them for your next trip to the area.”
